Engineering Psychology
For twenty years NMSU has had one of the most respected programs in Engineering Psychology. The program is accredited by the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society.
Traditionally, our program has emphasized the importance of being able to:
- design, analyze, and interpret empirical research
- incorporate research findings into principles of human performance
- apply these principles to the design, use, and maintenance of human-machine-environment systems
Degree Requirements
Masters Degree:36 credit hours, thesis and defense (including qualifying exam), no practical experience required.
Nonthesis option: no
Completion time: two years
Doctorate Degree: 40-70 credit hours (determined by committee), comprehensive exam, dissertation and defense, internship or co-op is recommended
Completion time: 4 years
