David Trafimow Social Psychology

General interest in social cognition. Particular interest in understanding how self-cognitions are organized, and theinterrelations betwen self-cognitions and presumed determinants of behavior (e.g., attitudes, subjective norms, controlbeliefs, and behavioral intentions). Additional interest in the cognitive structures and processes underlyingattributionsand memory for events and persons.

Emphases:

  1. Human learning and memory (verbal and motor) with special interest in dissociations between short-term acquisition performance, and longer-term learning. 
  2. Also metacognitive aspects of skill acquisition and memory.

 

Jim Kroger Cognitive Neuroscience Psychology
Emphases:

  1. The neural processes that underlie social cognition, consciousness, attention, and emotion
  2. the nature of human reasoning; neural mechanisms of schizophrenia and depression
  3. brain-to-computer interfaces.
