User-Centered Design Manager
Location: Stamford, CT
Description:
People in the role of User-Centered Design Manager are responsible for
overseeing and performing all aspects of user analysis, design, validation,
standards creation and publication, and research and communication on UI
processes. Managers are responsible for interviewing, selecting, and
retaining staff and for defining the priorities of teams and delegating
responsibility. Responsible for creating, tracking, and maintaining
schedules and ensuring all milestones are met within the defined budgets
and schedules.

Experience/Education:
Four year college degree in Computer Science, Psychology, Design, or
Technical Communications or equivalent experience. A typical candidate will
have at least two years experience in managing projects and people. This
experience should include effective leadership of projects ands
demonstrated capability to manage budgets, assemble and lead teams, manage
resources, and understand the technical environment.

User Interface Design Engineer
Location: Sunnyvale, CA and Stamford, CT
Description:
The Product Development Department is looking for experienced professionals
in the User Centered Design Group (UCD) group.

Your responsibilities will include:

-Design Windows and Web-based User Interfaces for financial management
software applications
-Design user interfaces according to global user interface standards
-Review product User Interfaces for conformance to layout standards
-Participate in user-centered design for product features and business
objects
-Analyze and resolves global user interface issues of small or medium scope
-Participate in developing user interface models, metaphors, and standards
-Review and write user interface specifications
-Participate in building prototypes, using GUI tools
-Participate in Usability Tests: prepare test materials, conducts tests,
analyze and compile results
-Participate in international usability testing

Experience/Education: The ideal candidate should have a 4-year degree in Psychology, Computer Science, or Technical Communications preferred. Position requires 3+ years' experience in a software development environment. Must be proficient in using Windows software applications or other GUI application. As well as experience in user-centered design of software applications, in form layout and defining UI standards for layout and behavior a plus.
